You Are Not Going to Believe This

La la la, I take a walk into the yard. Tillie is at her post.

Very pleased to see the purple coneflower coming along,

In the abandoned firepit area, I make a silly joke to myself about
"I've fallen and I can't get up," but even I don't laugh.

The sun is setting,

I hear a rustle, rustle...

Can't believe that there is A WOODCHUCK IN A TREE!

Amazingly I am able to get a picture while he is frozen in the "if I don't move she can't see me pose," which is totally ineffective because he is
A WOODCHUCK IN A TREE!

"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting."
- Mother Teresa

Why does this make me teary? What is going on?

The Wednesday After Father's Day

On the trail with Paul G I was glad for effortless moments

Of being the people we have become, without judgement, or at least none that I noticed.

Overcast, fluid, quiet with conversation, enlightening,
small fish and one big fish in the shallows,

This will not last, it will fall to what is now known as the past to us. Our dragonfly while calm and perfect had lost his spark. But yet, he hangs on to impart something maybe lasting if the circumstances are good and if we are looking and ready.

Sometimes there are just no words, or too many, or not the right ones. The mind races to catch up with events as they unfold. Where am I to go? In the span of a few days many things have happened. It is up to me to choose the best interpretation, which is a gift to myself and those around me. If I cannot find love reflected around me and from me, than I am lost. I am not lost!

What color are you?

Those who know me may be willing to agree that I am not always good at finishing things. This project has been in the works for a while, maybe since Christmas time? I still have P and I to do, but I am really excited to see the finished product, which will land on our apple-green kitchen wall. What's better than being surrounded by your people?

A Post

This reminds me of someone's living room, in a way. I like how our trips to Philadelphia provide an opportunity to see flashes of beauty mashed up against detritus and rubble.
Sundown at Penn Treaty Park

But here at home, out here in the sticks where we are now bathed in a sea of green, this contrast takes the form of rundown in a different way.
Sundown on Chapel Road

I cheat myself by letting these moments of mundane beauty pass me by.

Spring, Fire, and Hope

Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.
- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
